Ardrox 3140 provides long-term protection of metal surfaces under conditions of high humidity including those which are to be stored or transported in tropical climates. The coating produced is resistant to rain and is suitable for outdoor storage and, while it will not resist severe mechanical abrasion, the fully cured coating will withstand normal handling operations. As the film dries it passes through various stages forming first a tacky film, then a soft film and finally, when solvent evaporation is complete, a firm, rubbery film.
